The Voice Bureau Coterie
We believe in collaborating with the very best creative professionals in our business, so we can deliver the best results to clients, consistently over time.
On that important note, may we introduce you to The Voice Bureau‘s core team . . .
Abby Kerr (that’s me). Creative Director and guiding voice.
Find my story here.
I’m the voice of our brand on social media, including everything you’re reading here on this site.
Tami Smith. Collaborative Partner.
My A+ collaborative partner for Empathy Marketing, our premium service. Tami is a holistic thinker, a pattern-seer, and a scents-and-signals-tracking searchologist. She’s an organic SEO specialist, a high-achieving enterprise-level salesperson, and a well-versed human being.
Myers-Briggs-wise, Tami’s the E to my I, the P to my J. The woman’s got style; she’s also deeply funny and free-spirited with a fiery edge. She lives in a charming little community outside of Seattle, Washington, with her partner and children.
Katie Mehas. Project Curator.
Katie is the Voice Bureau’s Project Curator. She manages our client projects’ workflow, liaises between our clients and our writers, and generally keeps our Excellence meter bouncing at the high end. Katie is an experienced project manager, magazine editor, and writer. She’s Editor-in-Chief of Jack Move, the online mag for cultural creatives. She’s the devoted founder of the St. Pete, Florida branch of Dr. Sketchy’s Anti-Art School, and professes a voracious appetite for food, wine, and media.
Katie possesses an enviable balance of left- and right-brainedness, keen wit, and a lovely, clearheaded communication style. She and her husband are the doting owners of an hermaphroditic chihuahua and three cats.
Melissa Black. Virtual Concierge.
As Virtual Concierge, Melissa orients and schedules Voice Bureau clients, fields inquiries, troubleshoots tech, and sees that operations are running snag-free.
She’s the CEO of Black Ink Virtual Assistance, where she puts to great use her decades of experience working with executives, and her talents around operations, marketing, management, tech, and social media strategy.
Melissa is that hard-to-find mix of gracious, whip smart, and completely deliberate. She’s a dog lover, a Dave Matthews Band super fan, and a travel and photography buff. She lives in beautiful Rhode Island with her husband-and-business-partner Bob.
The Writers of the Voice Bureau.
Our writers are a hand-selected team of talented and experienced creative professionals. They each possess an impressive portfolio of professional writing experience for B2B and B2C markets, ranging from: marketing and promotional copy (for both online and paper collateral), holistic SEO, crowdfunding campaigns, non-profit writing, grant-writing, learning materials, and various arts-focused endeavors.
Each of our writers is personally vetted, invited, and endorsed by me (Abby). Every single of piece of work our writers create flows across my desk and under my pen before it’s presented to clients. We facilitate a smooth, seamless experience from beginning to end, with far fewer points of contact than if you were managing your project solo between various providers.
We also refer our clients to a host of established, experienced, gifted web design and development professionals when it’s time to bring a visual brand identity to life.
Bottom line: I work with people I admire and completely trust with my clients’ businesses.
My eye is always casting about for fantastic writing and design talent. If you are an experienced copywriter or a web designer interested in collaborating with the Voice Bureau, please send us a note introducing yourself, with a link to your portfolio.
Hello, you.
